Happy Attitudes

Okay, so I have been in the crabbiest mood for the past couple of weeks! I'm not sure what is going on, but my hormones have been buzzing and warring! So, now attitudes, happy attitudes. I'm no longer going to let the hormonal woman in me burst through. Happy, happy, happy.


So I have been feeling super thankful lately for quite a few things. First, I have a wonderful husband who loves me and works sooo hard to provide for his family. I have truly been blessed by God with this wonderful man. Second, my happy healthy son. He lights up everyday with his smiles, giggles, and yes even his spit up! I couldn't imagine not being a Mommy. Third, we have the best most supportive family. I am blessed with amazing in-laws who have invited us into their home, crabby Erica and all. My parents are wonderful at letting me come over and crash in their bed while they watch Benjamin after a hard night. Not everyone can say that they have these things...and God has been convicting me on how much I don't say thank you. So thank you, thank you, thank you!

Oh Wednesday

I used to look forward to Wednesdays as the middle of the week...two more days until relaxation! Two more days and I can have unlimited Erica time, unless of course I had plans. No longer. No days to look forward to until I can have Erica time and relaxation. No rest for Mommy.


Now I look forward to the two hour window of nap time. Not to relax, but to do laundry or clean. If I can get everything cranked out during Benjamin's morning nap maybe a little bit of "Me Time" after a shower. Oh but not today. Today Benjamin's stubborn side came out (I have to admit he gets that from me) and he did not want to nap when he was supposed to. So no Mommy time today, and let me tell you what, I'm wiped!

When Benjamin finally fell asleep (2 hours AFTER his normal afternoon nap time and after I had rocked him for about ONE HOUR) lots of noise and the slamming of doors almost woke him up. I must admit, I am not one for noise anyways but when it almost wakes up my little man who does not want to sleep I get quite frustrated. I just don't understand why people would sing very loudly outside a window where a baby is sleeping, or why doors have to be slammed so hard the door frames rattle. It's just not something I am used to...and it's an adjustment.

Oh peace and quiet....I miss you....

First entry!


I am brand new to this world of blogging, and super excited to join it! I wanted to blog the adventures of our family and we embark upon this exciting time in our lives.

To start, we have a new addition to the Clauson family. Benjamin Erik is our beautiful little man who was born on October 15, 2009. He is our pride and joy! At four and a half months our little guy is full of smiles, love, and tons of personality! He recently joined the ranks of movers and shakers, our little man can roll! Here is our gorgeous little man! Ladies, beware...he has dimples for miles and bright blue eyes!

We are also getting ready to relocate in 5 1/2 months! We are going to be moving to either Maryland or Atlanta for my amazing husband to begin Medical School! I am so proud of the wonderful man God blessed me with! In the meantime we are living with my in laws, which is an adventure in and of itself! I only have one sibling, who is 10, and have moved into a home with 7 people! 8 including little Benjamin, who is sleeping in the closet! I will post many adventures, do not worry!

I can't wait to share what God has been doing and will do in our lives. Happy blogging!
